So is treatment considered a part of recovery? As of today, our daughter has had four chemo treatments. So far, so good. She has had few side effects and feels OK except for the bowel issues she has! Constipation gives way to diahrrea and that gives way to constipation! She has not said anything about hemorroids but I am guessing she has them!!
Her oncologist is happy with her progress and surprised she is not showing signs of side effects. Her hair is starting to come out and she is preparing for that ultimate dreaded thing which is going to happen within a few days. She is getting a hair cut tomorrow to shorten the beautiful auburn head of hair she has always been so proud of and she is preparing her children for this event. Wig? Not sure at this time. She has scarves and little hats, so this may be the style for her.
She is almost one third of the way through this part of chemo with another round to start after this fifteen weeks. The kids are doing their thing and I hope the older ones are being sensitive to her feelings and needs. I know that goes two ways, so I hope Mom and Dad are working on this to make things go as smoothly as they can.
We are going there this weekend to see our granddaughter in the hig school musical "Bye Bye Birdie". We know she will be the star!!
Love to see everyone but painful to see our daughter go through this whole thing. Prayers, please.
